Link Points to a Surface

Is there any way to create COGO points that are dynamically linked to a surface?

That is, I have a surface created from a corridor and would like to have some COGO points along it.  If the corridor surface changes, is there a way to get the COGO points to automatically update with the corridor surface?

I'm aware surface labels will dynamically update, but they don't have the functionality of COGO points.  Is there any way to have COGO points linked to a surface?  Thanks.
