Linetypes for pipes in profile (TOP and BOTTOM line)

Requirement is to display pipes in profile with the same linetype ON TOP as shown in plan view, but bottom line of pipe must be continuous linetype.

Same problem as described here, 5 years ago ( http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/AutoCAD-Civil-3D/Pipes-linetypes/m-p/1573946 )

Has anything changed? I still do not see a way to control top and bottom pipe linetypes independently - using 2011.

I don't see any change regarding this in 2013, am I overlooking something?

Thanks.

You would need to trace a polyline on top of the invert and give it a continuous linetype.

Thanks Matt. That is what everyone has been doing for SIX years now.

I was hoping I was overlooking a new option in 2013.

By this point, I guess there is little hope it will ever be added.

Kind of ruins the whole automation thing when you have to edit the manually drawn line if and when an elevation changes.
