Line and Arc Info - Help

The Line and Arc Info command from Inquiry commands toolbar works fine on lines, polylines, but not on parcel objects. Is there another way to inquire line and arc info on parcel object segments?

Add segment labels.

Except all the Segments are listed instead of just the one I want. If I've got a very large complex parcel object with many segments this is a pain.

Don't want extra labels, just a simple inquiry. Maybe something for Wish List. Just thought there would be such a command since we're converting our simple lines and polylines into objects, would think the inquiry command that comes w/ C3D would know how to deal w/ parcels. Oh well. Thanks anyways.

Using 2007, if I create a parcel, I can select the individual segments
and list the parcel segment info. I've got a 5-sided parcel here, I
select one segment of the parcel, and here's what list gives me:

AECC_PARCEL_SEGMENT Layer: "0"
Space: Model space
Handle = dce
Site : Site 1

Start : North: 3656900.9000' East: 11790223.6400'

Segment #1 : Line

Course: N74° 01' 50.55"E Length: 673.501'
North: 3657086.1950' East: 11790871.1500'

The new inquiry tool doesn't have any parcel functions, so that won't
help. Looks like LIST works like you'd want it to, though.

If I understand your post correctly, you say your only getting the inquiry for the segment at the point where you select the parcel object, correct?

This is what I get:

Command: Specify opposite corner:
Command: li LIST
Select objects: 1 found

Select objects:
AECC_PARCEL_SEGMENT Layer: "BDRY"
Space: Model space
Handle = 17df1
Site : Site 1

Start : North: 48.5806' East: -1368.2453'

Segment #1 : Line

Course: N0° 52' 22.00"E Length: 330.448'
North: 378.9904' East: -1363.2119'

Segment #2 : Line

Course: N89° 07' 38.00"W Length: 67.994'
North: 380.0261' East: -1431.1977'

Segment #3 : Line

Course: N52° 47' 27.00"W Length: 487.640'
North: 674.9149' East: -1819.5703'

Segment #4 : Line

Course: S0° 02' 41.00"E Length: 631.340'
North: 43.5751' East: -1819.0775'

Segment #5 : Line

Course: N89° 21' 50.00"E Length: 450.860'
North: 48.5806' East: -1368.2453'

Maybe I'm not reading your post correctly.

I create a parcel. Let's say that it's a square. I type "LI" in the
command line, then pick the north line of the parcel. The north line
of the parcel is the only segment that lists.

Wait - you created this parcel out of a polyline, didn't you? I just
did one out of a polyline, and tried to list one segment, and it listed
every segment. That may be the issue. I'm making my parcels out of
lines. Try exploding your boundary polyline and then making a parcel
out of it.

Interesting...

Hmmm, ok that worked like you said. Most of my parcels have been converting pline boundaries from LDT into parcel objects so that's why the problem. I guess this will go away on a new file with lines and arcs. Thanks again.
