IN LOOKING TO MOVE INTO LAND DESKTOP, CIVIL SERIES (OR DESIGN) AND CIVIL 3D, DO YOU REALLY NEED ALL OF THESE, OR DOES ONE OR TWO PERFORM THE SAME FUNCTIONS AS ALL THREE WOULD.

AFAIK: Civil Series is or is about to be removed from the market. Civil 3D is not for Sale as yet, it is given "free of charge" to subscription holders of Land Desktop. Land Desktop is for sale. (Civil design, survey modules to be added if needed.) That should make your purchase quite simple. wfb BTW, "All Caps" are frowned on in the newsgroups. to add to what wfb said, Civil 3D is not (yet) ready for production work as a stand alone product.
