LDT & Civil 3D 2007

Does anyone have both of these products setup on a machine together with all
Service Packs?

I had both up and running before the SP's were released. I also had LDT
2005, LDT & Civil 3D 2006 on the PC.

I made the mistake of appling the SP's to the network image. I know, silly
me trying to do something that I should be able to do. Of course we have the
little issue of only being able to apply one SP to a net image now.

I updated Civil 3D and then the LDT SP (not installed to the network image)
would fail looking for the original setup files. Repairs did not help. I
performed a clean & complete uninstall as per the Autodesk white paper &
tried to reinstall all. Civil 3D & LDT setup just crapped out. No error no
warning.

I wound up restoring an old Ghost image that had only LDT 2005 & MS office
setup. I was then able to setup LDT 2007 but the SP failed. I used LDT for a
couple of weeks & tried the SP again yesterday. Strangely enough the SP
installed.

Now I would like to get Civil 3D back on the PC but setup fails/terminates
w/o any error or warning.

I am about to strip the PC again unless some of you gurus can help or
provide a little insight.

I just read Laurie's findings on large surfaces & that warm and fuzzy
feeling is turning cold & course.

Can't Carol hear us screaming?
