My layout tabs are missing. How do you get them back?

At the bottom of the Acad window, towards the right hand
side, will be the icons representing the Tabs. Right-click on one and the
option to show the tabs will be there.

So are the icons.  This didn't work either to get the layout tabs back.

At least we can move to the layouts with the quick view.

Did you maybe hit the Clean Screen button at the bottom right?

If that's not it, you can get the tabs back by going to Options > Display tab > Display Layout & Model Tabs checkbox.

You can get the layout tabs back from the drawing options window on the display tab. See the screencast found at http://screencast.com/t/zrv82GvCX5B for the exact location.

Which part of the screen cast is the "Drawing Options Window?"

We had already tried typing OPTIONS and the tab was already set for the layout tabs, but they still won't display.

Is the drawing maximized inside the Autocad window?

If it isn't, the tabs could be off the bottom of the screen.  Thats the only other thing I can think of that would hide them.

We closed the file down during lunch, shut down AutoCAD and restarted after lunch.

That tabs came back. (?)

1) right click

2) at the very bottom, select "Options"

3) "Display" tab

3) at the bottom under "Layout elements"

4) check "Display Layout and Model tabs"

you can also type:

(setenv "ShowTabs" "1")

at the command line to bring them back.

I know this was long ago, but just in case someone else references this discussion:

1) tabs may be turned off in "options"

2) clean screen may be on

3) you may be in block editor

I had this problem, and the issue was the screen maximization. Just click on the icon right next to the "Close" icon (X) and the tabs will show up. They are there, but you just can't see them because your window is either minimized or maximize. Not sure which, but doing this fixed mine!

In the command line,

type in "LAYOUTTAB"  This system variable is set to 0 by default.

Switch it to "1"

This will bring the normal tabs back to the bottom left of the screen.

Hi,

There is a possibility of cascading the layouts also. Please try clicking the cascade on the screen for all the tabs will appear.

didn't work for me, I'm using AutoCAD MEP 2020. LAYOUTTAB was already set to 1.
