Layout size and orientation problems + crop marks

Good morning,

I am trying to create a a new layout for larger paper size (landscape ANSI D) but am experiencing problems. As long as printer is set to None everything is OK, but when I change it to either Adobe PDF or PDF Creator, the orientation changes to Portrait (paper size remains correct). I go to Properties and change Custom Properties to Landscape. As soon as I save the .pc3 file it all jumps back to letter size and portrait orientation. It works exactly the same way for both pdf printers. What am I doing wrong ?

And question #2 - if I get through these obstacles can someone advise me on how to add crop marks ? Would they print if I just draw them at the corners of a dashed line (I assume it's print limits) in Layout ?
