Layer names

Hi,

we are starting a new mega project involving a tunnel, bridge, etc. We are working with different partners. I am in charge of coming up with a structure for the documents as well as the layers. Does anyone out there has experience with layer structures for civil projects? is there some kind of ISO list available with the 'way things are done'? Or just your own way of working is fine too. Just something to start with.

Thanks in advance.

Emmanuel

Our ever evolving company standard. It follows a structure similar to
AIA's, but strictly for civil work.

It may be worth noting that we don't do much highway work. Something to
chew on, at least.

Depends on what information. Some if it isn't documented well enough for me
to want to share it. 😮

What were you interested in seeing?

ISO has created some layer names or at least suggestions on how to name your layers. I have not read the document, since they are asking you to pay for it, but here is the web site you can find it at.

From the NG side, you can see headers that contain munged e-mail addresses
for most people.
TomD's user name is tdivittis. I think the domain would be cecinc.com. Put
them together.
