Langan Engineering - Intersection Design Tool

Has anybody purchased this product and had good success with it? We have a couple of projects with a lot of intersections and cul-de-sacs and are thinking this may be a great tool. Any Thoughts??

I haven't seen it, but you might want to also check out
http://www.akgsoftware.com/ for intersection design as well.

Indeed. Sorry for forgetting you guys, Laurie...I've just been working
with Vestra for the past few days and it was freshest on my mind.

What did you think of Vestra? Seemd like it would do all the necessary alignments for complex intersections, round abouts, etc. But doesn't yet deal with the vertical aspect...

It depends on how you currently work. The intersection builder works great as well as the ARD - Intersections from CaddApps. Check both out and choose for yourself!

I've been discussing that with AKG. Great for planimetrics, but the
hard part is the vertical. I they are looking at this, but
can't be sure. You might want to contact them to see.

There are routines in Street Tools that will :

create up to 9 3d plines each with it's own horizontal and vertical offset
from CL
set gutter grade to follow CL by grade along 2d pline
create 3d curb returns, with options to label 1/4 points and plot the
finished profile
Create street fabric, with sewers, sidewalks curbs, intersections,
cul-de-sac and elbows or knuckles or eyebrows
View street tools avi showing 3d pline street, elbow, cul-de-sacs and 3d
curb returns http://www.rsteltman.com/content/downloads/street.avi
Download the FREE 30 day fully functioning evaluation version
