Land Surveying in Civi3d

Hi,
I'm new to civil3d & am looking to know the best way to download and create a full topographic survey def in civi3d.
Any info would be appreciated.

Hello and welcome.

 

That's a very difficult question to answer. Civil 3D is complicated and you may have to deal with may portions of the program.

 

Lets start with a question about workflow. Do you want to bring in a Field Book from the Data Collector or just a point dump (N ,E, Z) file?

 

What is your definition of a "full topographic Survey"? Do you need anything beyond existing features and contours?
