Labels displaying as tags only

My lables are only displaying as tags. How do I get them to display as bearing and distance again?

I'm doing this as a test for my class. How quickly will I get a response?

In the bearing and distance label style in use go tot the general tab of the label style composer>
Label>display mode>set toggle to label.
