I am trying to label some existing contours of a surface i created for an imperial drawing and the contour elevations are coming up in metric.
I have checked the "ambient Settings" in the drawing settings and they are all set to feet.
And the C: "-dwgunits" set to feet as well....
Can someone help me figure out why I cant get the elevations in feet
Thanks!

Sorry trying to shrink the file, but can't figure out how to "trim:" my surface,
Working on it but if you have to go no worries
Thanks for your time,
Marsha

What does the units and zone tab show? And are you certain the drawing started with an Imperial dwt file?

how did your create the surface? polylines? featurelines? dem file? survey points? point cloud? Once thing i have noticed that if you use an external file lets say a dem file or point cloud that was created in meters than it becomes difficult to set that information back to feet. I had this same issue with points cloud data that was create in meters. It took me several steps to put it back to feet. look at your surface style also. anyways hopefully this helps.

What would happen if you went into you settings tab in your toolspace and then right click the drawing file and go to edit drawing settings then set some settings in there like in units and zone tab set drawing units to meters.
Any chance your label style elevation is set to be in metric. See following post for idea how to check it: http://beingcivil.typepad.com/my_weblog/2010/03/points-created-in-metric-show-in-feet.html
Whoo Hoo~! It worked, I had to change the "Contents" equation of the Text lable style to feet.
Thanks Again,
Marsha
Nice! I'm glad that worked.
