Label Just A Line HOW??

How do I label just a line. I want to label a line like when I label parcel lines with bearing and distance but from that menu I can not see how to label just a line. Is there a way? How??

You have to make it part of a parcel. Silly? Yes. Convert object to Parcel, then label it as you see fit. I recommend you make a separate site for all of the random lines you need to label this way, avoids any issues with dividing parcels with easement lines, etc. -- James Wedding, P.E. Our county requires cl road bearings and distances, to achieve this the road cl will need to be a parcel? Can you label the alignment cl with bearing and distances?

I answered my own question, alignments do have YET ANOTHER \line\label style\Bearing and Distance.

Why can't I drag the one I just created for parcels here? aargh

I know I'm behind the curve a bit, it is getting easier. And more frustrating, I built a nice line label style which included the wipeout circles on either end only to find I had to re-create it several times in several places. I can't believe if you make a nice label you can't copy it around. If I'm struggling I'm really scared to put this into production!
