K value in verticle curve slightyly different values

The K value on a vertical curve is length of vertical curve divide by grade out minus the grade in. Some time civil 3D gives a slightly different value then what the engineer calculates and of course we need to change it do what the engineer wants. Is this round off error? or does Autodesk have different formula for getting the K value?

In what case does the K value seem incorrect? When it does, does the
value match if change the precision displayed?

If you feel there is an error, can you please post a drawing that
illustrates it?

Oops' I'm sorry. I got that K value answer from old Ldd 2000i. I'm trying to set up the styles for our new Civil 3D and keep up with current projects. I will let you know how it works out soon.
