Is there a way.....

Is there a way for pressure pipes to automatically segment, or break, at a given length? All of our pipes come in 18' segments, and right now I have to manually break those pipes if I want them to follow the surface..... thanks for any help!

You just need to use the Follow Surface command (FOLLOWSURFACEINPV). I did not see this ribbon or know about this command for a while. But it is there. When you select Edit Network on the pressure Networks:Water ribbon you have two choices, one to use “Plan Layout Tools” and the other to use “Profile Layout Tools”. Select the “Profile Layout Tools” (EditPressureNetworkInPV) and you will find a follow surface command. This command seems to do what you say you are doing manually, it breaks the pipe up into 18’ segments and follows the surface quite nicely.

I hope this helps.
