Is landxml dead?

It seems there is no activity for a long time in landxml.

In addition I have seen this page ....

http://www.landxmlproject.org/

Does anybody knows something related ? Is Landxml dead ?

Which is the adesk. developer teams knowing of this ?

Thanks

That's a good question, I noticed Landxml.org doesn't seem to have any newer content a while back too.

AutoCad Civil 3D help still references Landxml.org Here.

There is very little information about the future of LandXML that I can find. What I do know is the development by the LandXML consortium ended in Nov. 2012 due to lack of funding.

I cannot find anything concrete about any future development but I found some hints that there may be efforts to form a new consortium to develop the LandGML standard.

I guess at this point in time there is nothing firm about the future of the standard.

Yes..

You can learn at this link

"For more information about the LandXML schema, go to www.landxml.org."

But I'would expect some offcial message like "

"Landxml is dead, but the project is finished"

"Landxml is dead, but the project goes on ...."

"Landxml is dead, the new standard is "-----" got to www........"

Or something similar .

Was Landxml originally  an adesk initiative ?

Please, can any adesk person answer ?

Thanks

This link provides the most info I can find about the future of the standard: http://icsm.govspace.gov.au/2012/11/20/landxml-org-is-going-off-air/

Perhaps there are some discussions within the OGC that can be found.

I hope not as I often hack land XML exports to overwrite or add to things.

So long as it's still hack able I'll be happy.
