2006 or 2007?

In 2007 I don't mess too much with transitions for intersections unless it
is really straightforward since none of my intersections tend to follow such
a neat transition pattern.

In 2007, I use the feature line tools. THEY ARE AWESOME- Thank you Civil 3D
gods!

Jay,

I did a lab on intersection design at Autodesk University last year. I
can get you that material if you send me an email.

Jay,

I've got your file and posted the solution using your sample dwg file at the following link:

http://www.cadtown.com

You can download the tutorial and the demo program to finish your intersection by following the steps under the "Intersection Design".

You can also create any custom subassembly without writing Visual Basic programs.

If you have any problem, e-mail me.

Dana - do you build these type of corridors solely from feature lines, and forgo the use of the corridor .

In my case, I often have non-perpendicualr intersections. When I attempt to use the basic lane transition to a return, because they are not perpendicular, I don't get what I want.

see attached file

Thanks.

Hi,
Tomorrows webcast (Friday) on Autodesk.com will be intersection and roundabout design by Jack Strongitharm.

He uses Corridors and Subassemblies to manage this.

Check it out: http://civilcommunity.autodesk.com/external.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fusa.autodesk.com%2Fadsk%2Fservlet%2Foc%2Foffer%2Fform%3FsiteID%3D123112%26id%3D9098644%26ch%3DUS%2520dotcom%26src%3DADKI
