Intersection Wizard - surface issue

Here's a problem highlighted by one of our senior road engineers:

We are getting following issues while modelling the intersection using “Intersection wizard”, it not observe the superelevation parameters of Primary & Secondary road in its model.

Transitioning of cross fall of secondary road starts from start of curb return to match the long slope of primary road at bellmouth, which gives abrupt change in shape of contours. (see attached screen capture).

Not an answer but another question. When the section is in super does the wizard know that? presumably you had to choose maintain primary road crown, so where in the wizard does it know the cross fall?

It doesn't look like the engineer is using the correct Lane Slope parameters. Here's a quick example of an intersection through a superelevated curve I created using the Wizard:

Hi Fred

does the work flow go something like this:

* create primary road corridor through the intersection

* create alignments from corridor ETW (when applicable width may vary

* create profile from corridor ETW

* create intersection and apply parameters for primary as described and secondary

Joe,

There is a new Confirmed Defect in 2014 involving using Corridor Profiles. Use proposed surface profiles for the ETW's.
