Is it possible to insert a pdf into a drawing?

I'm almost positive it has to be converted to some sort of image first. If you have Adobe Standard or Professional, you should be able to save it as a tif, etc.

Using AutoCAD you should be able to do a Copy/Paste as OLE.

Or try the demo at http://www.dotsoft.com/pdfimport.htm.

Yes.

Without the help of other applications? No.

Google it, you'll find some solutions.

Ugly, but if you install the Windows DWF printer, you could print the
PDF to DWF, then Xref that in.

It's not pretty, but it can be done. I used it this fall to approximate
a landscape architect's site plan. Get rid of the DWF as soon as you
can. The dwg was unstable as all get out while it was loaded up. Think
it has to do with the imagery etc.

If I go File>Insert>OLE

I get an adobe document as a choice. that is how I did it a few years ago. Plotted terrible- often upside down, but it worked.

I just tried it now and it worked fine.

Thanks,

I was recently looking for this functionality in C3D.
I am a bit dissappointed with the results.

Can anyone read this? Inserted as OLE
