Has anyone had this happen with release 2008 c3d or 2010 c3d?
We have a drawing in which two xref's were inserted at 0 but one of them when the properties are listed says it's at 25.45, 13.65,.0
I can remember this happening when we first installed either 2008 or 2010. Then we either installed a update or a new release and haven't seen it happen in a long time.
please let me know if this sounds familiar.
It sounds familiar but has nothing to do with any version. Someone moved the xref, probably, when they were moving something else. It is very easy to do.

BTW, just move it back.
It might have been moved, that does seem like the easy answer. but the amount it moved is what has me concerned. It doesn't sound like you've encountered this specific problem. Hopefully someone else has.
All it means is that someone moved "something" 25.42 units to the right and 13.65 units up. This is very easy to do if you are zoomed in and move text or an object and inadvertently selected the xref and moved it along with the object(s).
Yes, I can say I have done it more than I care to relate.

Mathewk,
thanks for the reply.. The usc's are both world and the base variable in both drawings is 0,0,0.
I did try it again and it inserts correctly because i'm using 2011 c3d. This error occured due to a bug in either 2008 or 2010 c3d with update 1 installed.
Check the system variables Insunits, Insunitsdefsource and Insunitsdeftarget. When attaching the Xref watch the the Block Unit area in the lower right of the attach or insert dialog box. Make sure the Unit and Factor make sense. It sounds like there may be some type of scaling involved.

I have seen this unit if INSBASE is set to something other than 0,0 in one of the xrefs.
