Importing Points keeping Layers

I am looking for a way to import my points (.csv) and keep the layers that it was asigned to. When I bring them in they are all on a 0 layer. I created them from my Trimble and exported them. I have the same problem when I get them from our surveyor.

Thanks,

Select a style.
Change the layer that they are on.

I am not sure what you mean. Our surveyor will put some points on layers called cp, bc, eop, etc. When I bring them in I want them to keep the same layers that they are made on. I know that I can create groups and have them select all of the "cp" or the "bc", but I dont want to do that for lets say 15 different ones.

Before we go any further. You are in the Civil 3D group, hopefully that is
what you are using. Civil 3D is a different animal. Points and most all
objects are style oriented. You should possibly go to Help -> Tutorials and
do the point tutorials there.
If I am assuming the wrong thing, please advise and we will go from there.
