I have a new survey user who is looking for well written step by step documentation for importing ascii files to the survey database and using linework code sets to connect the points. Can someone recommend a blog post, Chronicle or a thread here that I can point him at?
There's probably plenty of other info on the subject, but, I wrote this up for a presentation at a Surveyors Conference - maybe this will help.
I pulled some stuff out that wasn't applicable so it's not quite complete.
The one thing missing is that once you have the ascii file and have set the Survey Database Working folder you use the Import Survey Data wizard to import the information.
I also borrowed some of this from an Autodesk University handout I got years ago - I can't remember the guys name but I wanted to try and give some credit.
