Howdy
Any data that you create in a
drawing (alignments, parcels, points, surfaces, etc) will show up in the
Prospector view (first panel in the Civil 3D workspace). Alignments, parcels,
grading groups, profiles and sections are all under the "Sites" tree. If you
created a valid alignment (either via Import or by one of the creation commands
in Civil 3D) you should see the named alignment under:
Sites
Site Name
Alignments
Alignment Name (Elm, Oak, whatever). If you pick on the
alignment, you should get a preview and you should be able to zoom to the object
in the drawing.
If there is no alignment listed, you didn't create
an alignment.
Thanks

I've
tried importing alignments as an .xml file but it didn't seem to work. Is
there a way to list your alignments in Civil 3d? Also, in Civil 3d I've tried
to create an alignment by polyline, but when you select a polyline, it gives a
message "Selected entity must be of type: Polyline" and won't select
it.
