I figured out how to avert the 'undo out of memory' error when importing layouts from template if anyone else is having this issue.
It appears the undo command has had some overhaul and now gets very large, very quick, especially when importing several layouts from another drawing.
What I did was to disable the undo command (shown below) and then the layouts all came in just fine. Then just remember to re-enable it when your done.
Let me know if this works for anyone else as well.
Command: Undo
Current settings: Auto = On, Control = All, Combine = Yes, Layer = Yes
Enter the number of operations to undo or [Auto/Control/BEgin/End/Mark/Back] <1>: c
Enter an UNDO control option [All/None/One/Combine/Layer] <All>: n
'U' no longer works.
Command: u
U command disabled. Use UNDO command to turn it on
after completeion of the layout import then:
Command: undo
Current settings: Auto = Off, Control = None, Combine = Yes, Layer = Yes
Enter an UNDO control option [All/None/One/Combine/Layer] <All>: a
