Import point file ASCII problem

When trying to import point files in Civil 3D 2012 it won't allow me to select the proper format PNEZD(comma delimited)

It will only allow formats wich aren't correct. When turning filter off and selecting PNEZD (comma delimited) the preview shows the right arangement but the program won't allow me to continue.

File was made with Leica X-change. Tried to make an FBK file aswell but that wouldn't work either.

The ASC file is attached. (changed to TXT so the message board will allow it)

Civil 3D is having a fit due to your point numbering (300.001???), if you use Excel to tidy this up it'll work. If you must have these bizarre point numbers then you will have to create a custom format but still having a unique point number

See attached

Instead of using a format like PNEZD, use a custom format like : Name, Northing, Easting, Elevation, RawDescription.

Point number can only be numeric, point name can be anything. (or renumber the points as Neil said...)

Ahh i didn't know that the point field had so much restrictions... thought it was a simple string format.

And the odd point naming is from working with SBG Geo software and Leica TPS stations

Thanks for the help guys.

The Point Name is a simple string, but the Point Number that you were trying to use is an simple integer number (counting) and you had a mix of integers and doubles (real numbers) in your file and that was where the problems were. The doubles were rejected as point numbers.
