Import LDT point groups

I would like to be able to import LDT point groups into a C3D 2015 dwg. Is it possible to import the Groups.mdb file into C3D? Is ther another way that would be easier?

Groups? No, I don't think so. Points and Description Keys, but not Point Groups.

Can you export the point groups out to a LandXML file and then import that?

Not sure, just guessing.

I don't have a LDT project to test with, but didn't the old Import Land Desktop project command include point groups?  The command still exists in 2014, is it available in 2015?

I just tried that using LDT 2009. I picked the option to add point groups to the XML and 3 were added. When I imported that XML into C3D 2015, the point groups were not included. Was worth a try, I appreciate the suggestion.

Check the Civil 3D App store 🙂
