If statement in Label Style?

I needed to show a pipe with "leadered" labels pointing at the ends (start/end point).  The labels needed to show the N, E, Invert of the point.

I created a label style:  Pipe_End that listed the N (end point), E (end point) & Inv (end point).  I then created another Pipe_Start labeled similarly.  Lastly, I placed labels and had to drag them to the ends to get the leaders to show up.

  1. Is there a way to pick an end pt (start or end) and label it WITHOUT having to pull it out to "dragged state"?  i.e. place it so that it's already IN dragged state.
  2. Is there a way to create ONE label style that will pick up on whether I've selected the Start or End and display the appropriate coordinates?

I use a null structure, set to display a symbol which is on a NoPlot layer. Then I place a structure label with the desired info.
