I Need help with label styles - Please

Could someone please with label styles.

Under the Profile Styles and in the "Text Components Editor" I get something
that looks like the following

<[Chainage Value(Um|FS|P2|RN|AP|Sn|TP|B2|EN|W0|OF)]>

Ok I under stand Chainage Valve

But what does the rest mean?

Um ?

FS ?

P2 ?

RN ?

AP ?

Sn ?

TP ?

B2 ?

EN ?

W0 ?

OF ?

Is there a document that will explain them to me.

Your help is much appreciated

Rob

There's not, but you don't need to know what those mean really, they're not
designed to be user editable. If you really want to know, click on one of
those values in the Label Text Editor. Over on the left, you'll see a list
of values/preferences for that particular bit of information. Typically
something like _U_nits-_M_eter, _F_ormat-_S_tationing, _P_recision-.01 (_2_
decimal places), etc.

See the trend? It's only slighty useful to know, but is fun at C3D trivia
parties, I guess....

In a house, too, if it's James.

I always refer back to the Earthlink definition of Nerd and Geek - the
difference? Geeks get things done. 😉

In a house? I'm lost...

See, this is the problem with NG discussions, there's no facetious button.

Here is a recent white paper about the fundamentals of styles. I haven't yet read it, but it may be helpful.

Hi Rob,

There is a topic in the Civil 3D Help that provides some information on the property field modifiers. The easiest way to find it is to enter 'property field modifiers' into the Search tab in the help. The first result listed is the one to have a look at.
