How can model a y intersection?

main road is 2 lane on both sides with median

secondary road is single lane

model 4 alignments.

 

Main road & adjoining road egde of road alignments.

 

Design corridor in normal way for both roads leaving a gap in junction.

 

To fill in the junction:

 

Create assembly with pavements working from the Kerblines inward. add regions for both sides targeting the centreline and main road channel line.

 

You will need to model the footway / verge etc on the acute "y" section as a seporate region and I would do the same for the other side both wrapping around to the main roadway.

Do this faster and automate this with the Intersection Wizard and two CL Alignments. Use the Incoming Lane widening features.
