How to Create A Road File From an Object-Pline or Spline

Basically I have 3dpolylines and some Splines. I would like to create a road file that uses the geometery of these objects to create a single line/crest of road file.

What is a "Road File"?

If you mean a Profile: You need a 2d horizontal alignments, a profile view and execute the create profile tools to draw the profile.

If you are looking to create your horizontal alignment from 3d pline and splines. I don't think you can, but you can try to create alignment from objects. Although, I can't imagine trying to tell a surveyor or contractor to build something off a splined alignment.

A road file meaning an actual file that can be loaded into a Trimble Controller, for survey. Basically we would you this file to "layout" a curve..But it would need to pickup the 3D components of the Splines and 3D Polylines..

I'm no expert on the survey part but there has to be something in the tool box to export data

Hmm.

I'm surprised one of the survey gurus haven't chimed in. Sinc? Allen?, John?
