how to creat a tringulate surface snaps on a curve feature line,see pic plz

i have a featur line where it has an arc
when i creatred a surface from a feature line
the tringulation doent cuve like the feature line
as a work around i did insert a PI
but is there a better way

Triangulation lines are always just that... lines. You cannot get a curve from them. The best way to simulate a curve is to Insert Elevation Points on the curved feature line, type in the letter "I" to launch the Increment variable, specify a short distance of, say, 2', and you will have a lot of short lines that will come closer to looking like a curve. A different (I like this better) is, when you're adding those to your
surface as Standard breaklines, you will see a Mid-Ordinate distance value.
The smaller you make this number, the more tessellated your feature line
will be, thus it will more closely match your curve.

Doing it this way will not force you to modify the feature line which , in
my opinion, shouldn't be done if at all possible.

That tool is meant for something else. It may help a bit, but setting the
mid-ordinate distance to a smaller number, I believe, is the generally
accepted best practice just just this scenario.

Yeah I have used minimize flat area for a pond radius and it was perfect.
Now as I think about it I probably set the mid ordinate to a .1 or something
:)

The mid-ord. distance is definitely the way to go. A quick tip though- if you have a neighboring FL with a stepped offset for a curb for instance, make sure the mid-ord. dist. is smaller than the horizontal offset between the two FLs or it will ignore it and just use the default dist. If I offset a FL say .1, I'll set the mid-ord. to .05 to be safe.
