How do I get rid of these properties pop ups?

I just want to see my surface elevations, profile
view data and alignment station/offset info when I pause over something, not
this generic object properties stuff.

I can remove them from the object lists in
"Rollover Tooltips" in the cui editor and they go away, but then my
surface/profile view/alignment data doesn't show up at all if I happen to be
paused over another object (like a polyline) - I still have to be pause in a
'blank' area to see those again.

Anyone know how to set this up to display similar
to the default in C3D09?

Thanks.

CTL+SHIFT+P

Or hit the button to the right of the Lineweight
button on the status var.

It's not the Quick Properties, John.  It has
something to do with the Rollover Tooltips.

This is what I want to see (attached) for
surfaces:

But I'd like to see it even when I'm hovering over
an xreffed polyline (like the contour there).  If I have Rollover Tooltips
enabled for xrefs or plines and I hover over a contour, I get some generic
useless info for them and nothing for the surfaces.  If I disable them, the
useless info doesn't come up any more but neither does the surface elevation
info.  I'd like to completely disable them so I get the relevant C3D info
wherever I hover, like it was in C3D08 and 09, but can't see how to do
that.

Frustrating, kind of like the stupid new info boxes
that pop up now all over the 2010 stuff, usually obscuring the info you are
there to see, that don't go away.  I've had to learn to select stuff from a
certain angle now to get the useless info box to pop up at least mostly off of
the info I want.

thanks.

Have you tried "Options", Display Tab -> "Windows Elements Frame" , untick "Rollover Tool Tips" ?

As for the extended tooltips, look in the same area and untick "Show Extended Tooltips"

If the contours were extracted from the surface as
plines they will be on top of the surface & AutoCAD will find that object
first for tooltips. You can use draworder to send them behind the surface or use
layer control to turn them off & the correct tooltip will
show.

hey, didn't see that. I thought I looked through there pretty well, but I
guess not. I'll give it a try. Thanks.
