One way:

  1. flatten all
  2. _mapclean with "Break crossing objects" option
  3. _mapexport with full geometric OD

Am not sure i f i understand what you mean but my line is 3d line and when i _flatten the objects it all became 2d in one level, the whole selected 3d parts became 2d " flattened" ... if you know what i mean ... and even if i finish to step 2 and 3 .. nothing really happines

If you apply a grading to the line that targets the surface, any place where it transitions from cut to fill is a point where it passes through a face.

I think I understand what you are asking for. Perhaps you don't understand the concept of using a grading to solve it. Please view this screen recording. It shows a featureline that is passing through some TIN triangles. There is a grading applied to it which targets the surface. Areas in red are below the surface, areas in yellow are above. The points where the grading crosses from cut to fill are where the featureline intersects the triangles. You can use the grading as a guide to break the featureline at the points of intersection.

Try this. Trace the face of the 3dface with a polyline using end snap or near snap. Click on the polyline and drop the elevation to zero. Trim and extend at will.

breaking at the apparent intersection doesn't work (appint snap)?
