How can I convert a drawing of Civil3D to Autocal2007

How can I convert a drawing of Civil3D Autocal2007 keeping 3D points and contour?
I've tried to export the drawing do Autocad2007, but it turns 2D.

I forgot about that nifty "feature" in the older versions...

You can use 3DOrbit to tilt your view slightly away from the Top view, then do your Export to Autocad.  Then it won't flatten everything to 2D in the export.  Just be careful, because if you tilt the view too much, you'll really distort your labels.

I think you could also extract contours and TIN Lines from the surface prior to the export, and the exported linework would not be flattened.  However, if you use this option, you may want to set the surface to a "No Display" style after extracting the linework, so you don't end up with duplicate linework in the result.

Does using the batch converter, saying yes to explode AEC objects help?
