i print to PDF pretty often... sometimes 11x17 and sometimes 24x36. I know how to create a page setup for each when in the drawing, but the problem is when i open another drawing i have to create the page setups again. how can u create a permamnent setup?
thanks
Set up all your settings in the plot dialog box. At the top click Add under the Page setup section. Give it a name and it will be in the pull down list whenever you want to choose it.

Page setups can be imported from dwg to dwg using the Import button in the Page Setup Manager dialog.
Create Page Setups in the appropriate drawing templates (dwt) files.
Every new drawing is created using one of these custom templates.
Look into the QNEW variable in the help if not familiar with.
Then specify these dwt's in options:
appreciate the help... but i dont think thats what i'm looking for.
what i do is use PUBLISH to create PDF sets. each time i open a different drawing and try to publish... i have to create a new 24x36 PDF page setup. i'd like to save it so that its there no matter which drawing i open.
thanks
Use SSM and use the publish option there. There is an option to use page set up overrides. Here is a good tutorial on how to use it http://heidihewett.blogs.com/my_weblog/files/Sheets_Happen.pdf
