Help with point attributes

I am confused on how to assign attributes to our points. I have been using Civil 3D 2012, making a map. We have points on the map but whatever we do we can't figure out how to get attributes on our points. Our attributes can come from an Access or Excel file. Please help, need some direction on what to do. Thanks! Smiley Very Happy

I can't view it from here but this seems to cover what you want: Points are more than PNEZD.

it seems to me that attributes aren't necessary with C3D points.   Point Label styles can accomplish practically the same thing, and it's much simpler.

normally there is a pnezd file format for our C3D points.  but a new import points format can be made to add additional data to the points.   for example a pnezdwxyz could be used to store several extra fields.

take a look at the help file for point import formats.

Once the info is imported into the points a point label style can created to display the new date along with the point.

Good hunting!
