Help with inserting DEM

Why when I try to define a surface definition by DEM file why does it not read the current drawings information?

As long as you have a coordinate system set in the drawing's settings, this data is displayed in that section you have circled.

Thanks, I was setting it on the survey tab. Which obviously makes a difference.
