Help with Earthwork

I am having trouble with getting earthwork volumes from my cross sections.  This is my assembly: 6" gravel over 12" sandstone, 6' ditch with 4:1 tie in slopes.

These are my steps that I did:

1.) created cross sections

2.) created surface from corridor, set my overhang correction to top link, added corridor extents as outer boundry

3.) edited materials list, added earthwork material, set existing surface as base and corridor surface as compare.

I get nothing?

I did do this and added my 2 top layers to the material list (6" gravel and 12" sandstone), and It spit out the area and volumes per section for those no problem, I set them to what they were per my assembly ( 6" gravel was top pave and the sandtone was subbase).

What I am i doing wrong with my cuts/fills for each section??

Your test corridor surface does not have any data in it.  You created it in the corridor properties, but did not add link or feature line data to it.

ok...sorry this is all new to me, this is the first time I have done this with a road project.  How do I add the data to it???

Have a look at step 5 (in the first list of steps) here.

Edit the Corridor Properties.

Select the Surfaces tab.

In the lower portion of the dialog, select the surface that you created.

In the Add Data panel, select the data type and code to use.  For earthworks I usually use Datum Links.

Pick the + button in the Add Data panel.

You should the data listed under the surface.

A final step you may want to do is to change the surface's overhang correction.   For datum surfaces you will probably want to use the Bottom Links option.

ok I gotcha.

The only other problem I have having is that data is doing weird stuff (see pic below).

Here is my assembly from CL out:

LaneSuper elevationAOR

ShoulderExtend all

Link width and slope (generic)

Linkslope to surface (generic)

Does this have to do with what I have the Link codes set to on the subassemblies??  or what could be causing this?
