Help, Prospector & settings Tabs gone in toolspace??

OK, I have c3d08 loaded and I worked on it yesterday and everything was fine. Today, it loads up, my workspace Civil 3D complete is gone! It wanted to load 2D and annotations or 3D modeling or something. Yesterday I named my profile (under options). I have my Civil 3D complete workspace loaded now, by loading my profile. But the toolspace (prospector & settings) are Gone. It will not load them. it says "There are currently no palettes to show in the Toolspace window."

Can anyone tell me what happed and how to fix it??

Ok, maybe more information. here is what my startup looks like.

"Initializing........
C:\Program Files\AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008\AcMapWorkspace.arx cannot find a dll or
other file that it needs.

Can you roll back to the original profile? Or export from another machine
and replace it? You've tanked a support path or appload somewhere.

I tried to load the original profile, that didn't work. We reinstalled the software, the problem hasn't come back.

I just had a problem on a user's machine where the Prospector and Settings Tab disappeared, however the Survey Tab would initiate. The fix I used was to REPAIR the installation of the Civil 3D Product. This worked to repair the toolspace problem and I did not have to uninstall or reinstall the program.

I was having the same issue, and found a very simple fix.
seams the shortcut on 4 different stations were pointing to the wrong program and profile. The simple solution was to delete all of the buttons that refer to civil 3d on the desktop and go to the start, programs, autodesk, autodesk civil 3d 2007 and copy the good one to the desktop. sounds to simple and basic but it worked in my office.
