Help on SLOPE / ELEVATION map (Removing hatch on a certain boundary)

Capture1.PNGHow will I remove the hatch on the Slope or Elevation map of a boundary. I attached an image, I want to remove the hatch on the thick boundary line on Slope and Elevation map. Please help. Thanks in advance! Smiley Happy

Not sure what you are actually asking here - I assume you do not want the green colours within the thick boundary?

You could add the thick line as a non destructve hide boundary to the surface definition thus

Yes, I want to remove the green hatch within the thick boundary. How will I add it as a non destructive hide boundary? Thanks for the reply, appreciate it!

Modify > Surface > Add Data > Boundaries

Hit the Drop Down under Type and choose Hide and ensure Non destructive is ticked. You can also adjust the mid ordinate distance if you like but this is not always necessary

One of the drawbacks to nellyj's solution is, that will remove the surface within the boundaries, not just hide the surface. If you still want contours within that area (or are using that area for volume calculations or targets from a grading or corridor) this method won't work. What I would recommend is to create a brand new surface and past this surface into it. Run the analysis on that surface and then apply the boundary as nellyj recommends. This way, you'll still have the original surface and then a copy of the original with the analysis and hole.

Brian - would a surface mask work - perhaps only if the outline was added as a non destructive breakline first?
