HELP eWasOpenForWrite

I have a surface that I made a Data Shortcut for and it validates fine
when I am in the referencing drawing but in all other drawings I cannot
make a reference to the shortcut and it gives me the message when I try
to make the reference of:

ERROR: AecObjRel::~AecObjRel(), eWasOpenForWrite

I did have some errors while making the surface but I thought I deleted
all of the offending entities. It also wont let me add the surface to
the project for check out and check in.

David,

Which version of the software are you on? If you're using Civil 3D
2006, please ensure you have Service Pack 1 installed.
