I go to create a sheet in the layout tab, insert my boarder and create a viewport. The problem I am having with it is that i can't rotate it, scale it, or move it. Everytime I do any of these, it just goes back to the original location (how it entered once i created the viewport.) Why is this doing that?
If I rotate the whole viewport, i can get it all to rotate until I try to scale it or move it, then it just rotates back to how it was.
Anyone else having this problem??
Thanks
Is the viewport locked?
The little paddle lock icon on lower right of screen toggles he lock on/off.
It can also be found in the Properties Palette while in a Viewport.
unlocked with im rotating/moving/scaling, and locked when I get it to where I need it. And usually when I go to lock it is when it moves back to where it was???
Are you trying to rotate the Viewport its self or the view within the Viewport? If it's within the Viewport. Check that UCSFollow is off.

Rotating the Viewport itself won't rotate the View. What method are you using to rotate the view in the Viewport?

Rotating the Viewport itself won't rotate the View.

Allen,
One caveat to this is the VPROTATEASSOC sys. variable.
Thanks Jay. I missed that one. There are advantages and disadvantages in having worked with the software since well before anyone ever heard of paperspace.
