graphics card

Does anyone work with a 1 GB NVIDIA GeForce GT220 Graphics card? This one isn't in the supported and recomended list from Autocad.
Or do I better choose for a 512 MB ATI® Radeon™ 4850 ?

I am on my second new computer since March at home.

HP is hypothosizing that the problem is one of the NVidia cards combined with Vista Ultimate. Keep getting blue screen crash dumps before I even get to 3d. I was quoting the crash dump codes & the HP manager was saying the numbers said graphics card.

I don't have specs handy. HP said not enough data points to confirm that is the problem.

So is HP sending you a replacement card?

A bad memory chip can also cause BSOD's

Or a goofy HP load on the system.

My suggestions,
Swap the Video Card
reinstall video drivers

Pull a memory chip out, if still happens swap it with the other.

Format the HD and do a clean install, not a HP restore.

No. HP just sent me a 2nd new COMPUTER. They say they then trash the old one. (Maybe disassemble for the parts?)

I don't know enough to do hardware repairs. I just find it annoying that I am having all these problems. I was about ready to change internet service providers or check the wiring on my house. HP seems to think it is their problem.
