Grading

I need to create an embankment with a gradient of 1:3, if I know the bottom level, is there a way I can create a gradient between two feature lines that will give me what the level of the top of my embankment is?  Apologies if this is slightly confusing question!

I am not sure if I get this correct but it would be helpful to give us more information or a simple sketch, preferebaly your entire drawing. I think you should be able to create grading targeting object and maintaining that slope or elevation or a specific distance. If your area is closed you may also try infill.

you should stick to your threads http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/AutoCAD-Civil-3D-General/1-3-Gradient/m-p/5001982

if the solutions offered are off track you should continue the dialog in that thread instead of opening a new one with the same question.

what is it about your task that the two options suggested were not viable?
