Grading

I would like to disable dinamic behavior of grading, because some times I only want to find the polyline or featureline that intersect the surface, but with dynamic behavior of grading it takes a long time. Is it possible?. Something like Site Design of Eagle Point software.

I'm sorry, but my english is not good 😃

Thanks.

You can't.  Best you can do is explode the grading, leaving the feature line behind.

Well, you can't with C3D alone. There is at least one third party add-on that has a QuickDaylight command. >>LINK<<

Yes, you're right. I can explode the grading, but the problem is that C3D take a long time to draw the grading. I'm looking for the best place to built a dam for tailings storage facility and i need to make a lot of gradings in a big surface, that's why i wanted to new if C3D can do this very quickly.

Thank you for your answer,

Best regards from Perú.

Have you considered using corridors for your dams - a lot less buggy than grading objects??

There is a useful class on AU online from 2011 (CI1861 That Dam Corridor: AutoCAD® Civil 3D® Modeling for New and Rehab Dam Projects) that deals with this very application
