Grading groups and surfaces

I have created several pond embankments using the grading tools and have created surfaces using the grading groups. The problem I am having is when I turn on the triangles for one surface, I get the triangles for all the embankments and EG. The software keeps adding to the EG and doesn't cut out each embankment. I know I'm missing a step but I'm unable to find it.

Need help.

Thanks

Making several embankments using the same grading group will result in the bahavior of which you speak.  that's what grading gorups are for.  if you need to separate your embankments, you need to create additional grading groups and perform that grading(s) in the appropriate group.

Why your grading is being appended to the EG surface is a mystery.  I would suspect there is a paste operation in there somewhere.

I have a seperate grading group for each embankment.

The grading is also creating a new point group and surface for the daylight feature line for each.

Wacky.

That sounds very strange.  Can you attach a DWG file?

It won't attach because it is 11 mb.

Can you send me your full e-mail address?

There appears to be nothing wrong with this file.  The surfaces all use the same style so when you edit the style, all the surfaces change.  Asign different styles to the surfaces if you need them to appear differently.
