Grading - Feature Lines

What a disappointment!!!

I waited to do any grading using feature lines until I installed C3D 2007 (& service packs) on my machine because I knew that there were problems with feature lines in earlier versions.

So, I finally have project that involves complex grading, and seems like a good application for using feature lines to grade the site.

After creating feature lines for the buildings, then I try to edit the gradings:

4 crashes in two hours trying to adjust the limits of the gradings

won't transition between gradings

output (surface contours) looks awful!

I hope that it is significantly improved in 2008

for now, I'll just grade as I have-by hand & use polylines as contours.

real bummer...I had such high hopes for the grading functionality in C3D 2007
