Forum contributor in need help of a different kind...

Long time forum helper/poster, Richard 'Sinc' Sincovec was admitted to the hospital in pretty bad shape last night with an illness affecting his liver and kidneys. Please, whatever prayers, thoughts, vibes, you can send his way, his family and myself would appreciate them.

When I know more, I will post more.

Monday night update from AU:

Sinc's dad told me earlier that Sinc is alert, talking, recognizing people as they come vist, and seems to be in good spirits. It looks like the worst is behind him, now just needs time for everything to heal.

For anyone attending AU, come by the Quux Software kiosk (Booth 2d) and I hope to have a card there you can add your get well wishes for him...just need to find a Hallmark store close to Mandalay Bay in the morning.

Sinc,

Longtime lurker, infrequent poster here ... just writing to reinforce that you're well-thought of by many on this board and we're all cheering for you.  Your insights and contributions are so valued - I always read the Sinc posts - and I have the sense that the ACAD world is only a small part of the renaissance man you seem to be.

Sending wishes to you (and your family) for a full and speedy recovery!  We look forward to hearing from you again soon.

Sinc,

Your wisdom and knowledge is greatly missed on this forum.  You've helped me through the years of battling the beast of Civil 3D.  I love what I do and you've been an inspiration on my quest to learn everything I can.  Be strong and know you're missed.

Get well!!

Shawn

Wednesday update from AU:

Sinc was moved out of ICU last night. He was up and walking for a bit yesterday afternoon. All indicators are looking good!

Thanks for all of the support posts. I know he will really appreciate reading them when they finally let him use a computer...which I would expect to be soon.

If anyone is at AU, stop by the Quux booth (#2d) and sign the card I have there. So far I've seen a few of you, but I'm pretty sure there are more of you here.

Best wishes, thought, and Prayers. Like so many here, I ALWAYS stop and read when I see your handle. Some times (okay often) you may be over my head, but I usually feel smarter just reading your posts.........

Late Wed. AU update:

Sinc's Dad reported to me earlier there is a setback today. Docs are now very concerned that his kidneys took a beating and may have a hard time recovering. I had hoped to hear more before reporting this, but it's been quiet from CO for a while.

I'll be back with more when I know more. Keep the positive vibes and prayers going, please. I know they help.

Last AU update: As of 5 p.m. PST on Nov 29, Sinc's kidney's were responding to treatment and he is in good spirits. He's talking and alert, his dad is going to try to allow us to talk on the phone tomorrow (no cell phones in the hospital I think).

So, once again, the outlook is on the plus side. I will post again when I talk to either Sinc or his Dad tomorrow. But please, keep thos positive thoughts flowing! I'm sure it factors into his recovery.
