feature lines as breaklines for curb

I am trying to use feature lines to create curb for breaklines. The reason is, that it is the only way to have curved breaklines with elevations. Also it makes it easy to create curb by offsetting the feature line and raising the entire line by the height of the curb.

So, the problem arises when I have curb cuts for driveways. The easiest method would seem to be trimming the 'back of curb' line at the curb cuts, however feature lines don't seem to allow trimming, breaking, or any other horizontal manipulation.

ideas?

You can explode them to 3dPolys, or you can add elevation points to the
'back of curb' feature line, adjusing as required for the cuts. If you add
points to the back of curb, you'll probably want to add points in the same
spot along the 'bottom of curb' one as well (if you're taking it to that
level, it's worth the extra couple of seconds).

Since I am an expert on this () I will answer. I asked the same question
last week and you are correct, however, the new version (2008) adds several
more options to feature lines and break, trim is included.

Why not add elevation points on the feature lines at the back of curb at the curb openings and use the raise lower elevation commend in the elevation editor to lower those elevation points. You can lower just the elevation points that are highlighted.
