Fatal Error when Exporting

I have developed a new issue that I can't seem to fix. I had to uninstall and reinstall my Civil 3d and Land Development Companion this past monday..........I was having issues exporting XML files. So after my reinstall, the XML stuff is fine, even with large dwgs, but now, I can't export the dwg from Civil 3d to Autodad format, or export from Land to a previous version. I DID NOT previously have this issue. Service paks aren't correcting it. The Civil fatal error is 160d3001h and the Land error is 28ec2B3oh. They do this with ANY dwg I open. I have done 2 "clean" uninstalls and installs the past few days and this issue won't go away. Everything else seems to run fine other than this function. I'm not a tech guy, I just use this stuff, so other than installs, I really don't know what to do here now. I know

When you did the uninstall did you follow the knowledgebase article that
outlines a complete uninstall? This includes manually deleting files & some
cleaning of the registry.

I printed out the instructions that were on this site, I don't know if they came from the "knowledge base" stuff. I did everything that it suggested, but for whatever reason, when I went to clean out the registry files, the files they said that should be there.......weren't. It calls for R17 key #'s, and I had R16, so I left them there. I'm also running 2006 software, andI was afraid to erase them.
